LogiRack and MIT’s Center for Transportation & Logistics launched the Sustainable Structures Consortium. Focusing on decarbonizing structural materials, the project is prototyping hot-rolled steel with ≥65% scrap content and hybrid timber-steel uprights using FSC-certified cross-laminated timber (CLT). Results will inform EN 15512 revision proposals and accelerate adoption of EPD-verified racking—targeting net-zero embodied carbon by 2030.
